DNS lookup

Queries use Google Public DNS. This is a public resolver lookup, not a test of your device’s DNS tunnel.

IP classification, CIDR calculations and WireGuard syntax checks run in the browser; DNS lookup queries a public resolver.
IP classification, CIDR calculations and WireGuard syntax checks run locally. DNS lookup queries a public resolver and does not test device DNS leaks.

Queries use Google Public DNS. This is a public resolver lookup, not a test of your device’s DNS tunnel.

How to use this tool

  • Enter a domain name without https://, a path or a port; for example, example.com. Choose A, AAAA, CNAME, MX, NS or TXT.
  • Run the query. Our server sends the domain and record type to Google Public DNS over HTTPS. No local-network resolver is queried by this tool.

How to read the result

Status is the DNS response code: 0 means NOERROR and 3 means NXDOMAIN. NOERROR with an empty answer can mean there is no record of the requested type. Answers include record data and TTL; the DNSSEC flag reports the resolver’s authenticated-data response, not a complete security audit.

What this tool can establish

This is a public-resolver snapshot. Split-horizon/private DNS, your ISP resolver and cached results can differ. It does not test DNS leaks, inspect your VPN’s DNS path or prove ownership of a domain.

Privacy and data handling

The requested name and record type reach this site’s server and Google Public DNS. The request may appear in service request metadata. Do not query a sensitive internal hostname. Google applies its own DNS privacy policy.
